Come join SAY for a flashback to the fabulous fifties at our 2011 BIG Event the SAY Sock Hop!

The Scene:
Grab a treat from our Soda fountain, Dine on fabulous fifties fare. Sip cocktails during Happy half hour. Dance to fifties music and show off your skills in a twist contest. Take a chance on Cool Raffle prizes. And bid large in our live auction.

Last year, SAY raised over $155,000 at the 2010 BIG Event, the O-SAY Corral! Well, we're back at it (for the kids) with the 2011 SAY Sock Hop, March 5, 2011! Our goal is to raise $175,000! We're keeping costs down again this year: the party's price tag is set at $17,000! And our sponsors have already covered this cost so, EVERY cent raised will go to programs serving homeless youth, former foster care kids, and families looking for hope and support. For example:

For $250, a family of three can buy a month bus pass so they can get to and from counseling sessions. (Many of our families do not own cars.)

A $500 contribution will provide enough food to serve 700 homeless young adults at SAY's Street Outreach Center located at our Coffee House Teen Shelter.

A $1,000 contribution to Tamayo House will enable all 24 residents to buy food for one month.

For $5,000, SAY can expand the Youth Employment Center's capacity by 10% providing job skill workshops, tutoring; resume building, workplace tours and interviewing attire for 200 youth.

$10,000 makes it possible for 8 families to receive the counseling support necessary to redirect cycles of hurt and unhappiness.
