NORTHERN STARS OF DANCE
Bill T. Jones iconic work " Spent Days Out Yonder" is performed by dancers from Northern Illinois University. Illustious alumni Wade Schaaf brings his Chicago Repertory Ballet to premier a work and Chloe Jensen of Chicago Aerial Dance performs her solo "Continuum". Former NIU dancer Ramon Gaitan will dance the solo in Paula Frasz' "Sea Songs" and Micha Moch, currently working in Los Angeles, will perform the solo he created in "Silly Love Songs" To illustrate the diverse abilities of the Northern Stars of Dance, Richard Grund will stage "Paquita" by Petipa, renowned Chicago choreographer Autumn Eckman will deliver her dance to Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" and Judith Chitwood will round out the program with a haunting contemporary duet.
