Flicks and Scripts

Join Pride Films and Plays on the patio at Halsted's Bar and Grill on Sunday August 22 at 6 pm for our FLICKS AND SCRIPTS preview party. We will be enjoying appetizers with a cash bar, and our Celebrity Host Paul Lisnek will announce the fifteen semi-finalists in the Great Gay Screenplay Contest!

And some of those semi-finalists will be in attendance and you will definitely want to meet them and hear about their work.

At 7:15 we will head across the street to Hydrate for LIVE performances of classic screenplays including GODS AND MONSTERS, A SINGLE MAN, and KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN. We will view three new short films from Reeling 2010, and enjoy a preview of Terrence McNally's SOME MEN, part of our upcoming festival THE GREAT PLAYS OF TERRENCE McNALLY.

You don't want to miss this fun evening as we celebrate great writing for the stage and screen. Performers include William J. Norris, Chris Carr, John Zinn, Eddie Diaz, Michael Hampton, Brett P. Hall, Joan McGrath, Patrick Gannon, and Andrew John Knight.

Tickets for the evening are $25. Industry or Student Tickets are $10.
