Music On The Lawn with Andrew Martelle and Celia Woodsmith
Music On The Lawn
Summer looks different for a lot of us this year. Despite this, there will always be music. Music will get us through. I have asked some of my closest friends who are full-time, seasoned veterans of the regional and national touring scene to play a few shows with me. Join us in my backyard (technically side yard) for an intimate night with people who yearn to experience live music as much as we want to play live music!
Tickets are limited and will go fast for each show. These are all family friendly events. Bring a blanket, dinner and drinks to enjoy if you feel so inclined. Tapers will have to set up in the back by the swing set. Each week has a different Brown Paper ticket link so make sure you buy tickets for the correct week.
Schedule:

Celia Woodsmith
Celia Woodsmith is a GRAMMY Nominated performer and songwriter. Hailed by the Bluegrass Situation as having a "one of a kind voice: gritty, muscular, folksy and intimate sometimes all at once" Celia is influenced by artists like John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, Patsy Cline and Mahalia Jackson. She has shared stages with the likes of Taj Mahal, Leon Russel Janis Joplin's Big Brother and the Holding Company and Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls.
Starting in 2003 Celia was encouraged to write and perform locally by her future music and business partner Avi Salloway. Over the next 7 years Salloway and Woodsmith put out four records of original material with New England based duo "Avi & Celia" and Boston "washboard Rock n' Roll" band "Hey Mama".
Since 2011 Celia has been writing and performing with Nashville based Della Mae. In 2013 they won IBMA's Emerging Artist of the Year and in 2014 were nominated for a Best Bluegrass Album GRAMMY for their album "This World Oft Can Be". Della Mae tours over 200 days a year in over 30 countries playing almost entirely original material.
