Ear Heart Music: duo demain
Amelia Lukas, flute Kobe Van Cauwenberghe, guitar
duo demain will perform rarely heard modern pillars of the flute and guitar repertoire. The program will include works by Takemitsu, Gentile, Nathan Davis, Kaija Saariaho and Maurizio Pisati.

Amelia Lukas has been described by the Boston Globe as having a buoyancy of spirit that comes out in the flute, a just beautiful sound. Recent and upcoming projects include performances at The Stone, Bargemusic, Le Poisson Rouge, Carnegie Halls Zankel and Weill Halls, Lincoln Center, the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and the Orford Contemporary Music Festival. She frequently performs with the NeoLIT Ensemble, Music HerStory, and Opera Cabal. Additionally, she has performed with such orchestras as the London Sinfonietta and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She received her Bachelors degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London, England and received her Masters degree as a member of the flagship class for the Contemporary Performance Program at the Manhattan School of Music.
Kobe Van Cauwenberghe, guitar, is a specialist in new music. He has performed aross Europe and the US as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles such as Champ dAction, Nadar, ZWERM, International Ensemble Modern Academy and TACTUS. He has performed twice in the Ferienkurse fr Neue Musik in Darmstadt and was selected for the chamber music seminar at the Orpheus Institute in Ghent. Mr. Van Cauwenberghe has worked closely with such composers as Vinko Globokar, Richard Barret and Brian Ferneyhough. A native of Belgium, he started his guitar studies at the Conservatory of Antwerp and received his Masters degree at the Conservatory of Ghent where he studied with Tom Pauwels. He currently lives in New York City as a scholarship student, pursuing a second Masters degree in contemporary music performance at the Manhattan School of Music.
