This year begins our 38th season, and under the direction of Maestro Wes Lockfaw, the Easton Choral Arts Society is pleased to offer three concerts for your listening pleasure. Our first performance of the season, Haydn's masterpiece, The Creation will be sung at a new venue for ECAS, St Mark's Church, Easton on Friday, October 30 and Sunday, November 1, 2015.
For the holiday season we will present The Splendor of Christmas, a festive and awe inspiring musical journey of choral works, solos and handbell music, accompanied by a full orchestra. Don't miss this showcase program for all ages! The performances will be held at the Talbot County Auditorium at Easton High School, Saturday, December 5 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 6 at 4:00 PM.
Our spring concert will be the groundbreaking Mass in Blue by Will Todd, an upbeat setting of the Latin Mass for choir, soprano solo and ensemble, blending hot jazz and cool blues styles for a dynamic and uplifting, choral experience. The Mass will be followed by a resounding mix of spirituals with their haunting melodies, rich with emotion, from deeply moving interpretations of Psalms and hymns. The performances will be held at the St Michaels High School Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, 2016.
