Founded in 2008 by artist and designer, Rodney Durso, ArtBrige is a first-of-its-kind Chelsea-based organization dedicated to transforming overhead construction scaffolding into larger-than-life canvas for the work of emerging artists. Through its installations, ArtBridge strives to beautify the streetscape and give artists without gallery representation the opportunity for unprecedented exposure in an increasingly saturated marketplace.
In November of 2010, ArtBridge, in collaboration with the Center for Architecture, introduced its first public program, "Plywood, Concrete, Paint! Re-imagining the Contemporary Construction Site as Canvas for Public Art."
