Introducing Mr. Charles Dickens
Albert Cremin will present his one-man show, INTRODUCING MR. CHARLES DICKENS, at Mt Hood Golf Club, 100 Slayton Rd., Melrose MA, November 23 at 5:00 P.M. Hot hors d'oeuvres and a complimentary wine/beer will be served prior to the performance, and are included in the price of the ticket. (Cash bar also available).
Introducing Mr. Charles Dickens is written and performed by Albert Cremin. Mr. Cremin, the cast of one, creates over thirty-five characterizations in his original work, which focuses on Charles Dickens, the performer.
Interpreting scenes from Oliver Twist, Captain Boldheart, The Pickwick Papers, David Copperfield, and The Old Curiosity Shop, Mr. Cremin recreates moments from Dickens' American and English tours in the middle of the 19th century. In addition, the actor, as himself, and in the character of Dickens, gives us background information on the famous writer and reveals some of the inner workings of the man. For over 25 years, audiences have enjoyed the show at such venues as The Lark Studio Theatre, off Broadway, NYC, The Olde Mystic Village, CT and most recently at Olde Salem Town Hall, MA, for The Dickens Fellowship.
INTRODUCING MR. CHARLES DICKENS was nominated for Best Play 2008 by Motif Theatre Award (RI, CT)
and received the following published review:
"We can also thank Albert Cremin for creating an entrancing one-man show, Introducing Mr.Charles Dickens, in which he showcases his own considerable talent Cremin flawlessly transforms himself from the author into a great number of his characters, within a blink of the eager eye.Dickens would be proud."
