I'm Matthew Scott Montgomery, and these are four tales that just might give you a good SPOOK.
After its oversold run last October, what has become a Halloween staple in the LA community RETURNS with four new onstage tales that are guaranteed to curdle your blood and tingle your spine. Theatre Banshee hosts Matthew Scott Montgomery's SPOOK NIGHT featuring some of LA's sexiest and most talented young actors onstage performing scenes that will make you howl with laughter - and then SCREAM with terror. If you love R.L. Stine, Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, the Scream movies or just anything HALLOWEEN, this is the NIGHT for you. Who's Matthew Scott Montgomery? Matthew Scott is an award winning actor from TV, film and stage who loves him some BUMPS in the NIGHT! He has been the writer and star of last year's show along with the musical FUCK VALENTINE'S DAY and this summer's DEAD OF JULY. It all started with SPOOK NIGHT last year. Matthew Scott's big break in theater came in Del Shores' YELLOW in 2010 where they had a 10 month sold out run, leading to Matthew Scott winning an Ovation Award, a Backstage Garland Award, and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his portrayal of 15 year-old Kendall Parker. He then went on to work on Disney Channel for a few years (So Random, Shake It Up, Austin & Ally). After working in film and TV, he returned to the stage for last year's SPOOK NIGHT which oversold every performance. Audiences shrieked for it, so this year.. it's BACK!
This year's cast includes ABBIE COBB (90210, Suburgatory, Secret Life of the American Teenager, American Horror Story), RILEY ROSE CRITCHLOW (SouthLAnd, Video Game High School, John Dies at the End), ALBERTO FREZZA (Charlie's Angels, Touch, Born to Race), JOE GILLETTE (Desperate Housewives, The Geffen's Coney Island Christmas), KATHERINE CANIPE (Sex Sent Me to the ER, Catholic Schoolgirl Chainsaw Massacre), and LAUREN MARIE (Criminal Minds, Dead of Night).
