You should attend this event if you are a teen or young adult or a parent of one believe young adulthood is relevant and can be fulfilling want to know how to invest in your teen and young adult years want to be fully prepared for a meaningful college experience
Presenters: Wes Beach and Rheanna LaRoche
Wes will explain how it's possible to spend the "high school" years in very nontraditional ways, ways that allow teens' experiences to be at least to some extent self-directed, and thus fulfilling and productive. Gaining admission to colleges is entirely possible after unusual preparation, as stories Wes will share will illustrate.
Rheanna knows the college experience and the following job search will depend on more than high SAT scores and GPA. She will share ways in which Option Explore's free program can help your teens and young adults tap into their unique strengths, passions, and talents, through short term job shadowing. She'll explain not only the what and how that Option Explore clients experience, but also the why. Exploring real profession and trades will make your college experience a better investment. The high school years are not a blurring race to a finish line but rather a broad, fulfilling learning experience, a time of self-discovery and transformation.
