Sharing Our Stories: Memoir-Writing Workshop

Everyone has a story to tell, and writing a memoir is a great way to share yours. One way to make your memoir stand out from the crowd is to apply the techniques of fiction to writing nonfiction. Award-winning author Barbara Morrison will provide pointers useful for both beginners and experienced writers and lead writing exercises to ignite your creativity. In addition to optional critiques, we will look closely at story structure and other fundamentals.

Barbara Morrison, who writes under the name B. Morrison, is the author of a memoir, Innocent: Confessions of a Welfare Mother, and two poetry collections, Terrarium and Here at Least.
