Mark Lundholm Workshop for Addiction Professionals - Using Humor As a Tool in Treatment - Participate in Recording of New DVD Series
This is a unique opportunity for mental health, addiction, and allied helping professionals to see "behind the scenes" and actively participate in an intimate theater/workshop setting as you will be part of the filming of the first of Mark Lundholm's upcoming DVD series aimed at addictions and clinical professionals.
During this workshop, you'll learn practical tools, techniques and methods to incorporate humor into individual and group sessions as a means of addressing difficult and shameful topics, and safely touch on delicate and challenging topics with empathy and self-reflective humor.
The workshop includes much of Mark's trademark recovery humor, interwoven with whiteboard exercises, games, and other exercises that help the group or session leader/counselor to better connect with the issues the client is facing.
Filled with real-life stories and experiences from Mark's time as a homeless drug addict, and building on his 25 years of sobriety, and hundreds of day-long workshops Mark has presented in treatment centers across the US, you will walk away from this presentation with new tools and approaches to use with your clients.
The workshop will be broken into two parts, starting at 11am, with lunch served in between. A question-and-answer segment with workshop participants will immediately follow.
We hope to have CAADAC CEU credits available (there may be a small additional charge), but credits have not yet been approved and are not guaranteed.
We will also include (if you wish) a free copy of Mark's Recovery Board Game and a ticket to the NA Sierra Foothills benefit show where Mark will be performing on Saturday, October 11th.
Workshop filming will run from 11 to 12:45, with a break for lunch, then resume from 1:45 to 3:30 PM, with Q and A immediately following.
Please plan on arriving early and attending both events. We will not be able to accommodate late arriving ticket holders due to filming.

About Mark Lundholm:
