Hope for the Fighters-Julie Freitas
On June 2, 2014, the doctors had just called to confirm that not only our mom, but our best friend had been diagnosed with Her2neu Positive Breast Cancer. 1 in 5 women diagnosed with breast cancer have this particular type, which is the most rare, aggressive and invasive. Her2 is a gene mutation that occurs only in cancer cells and is less likely to respond to hormone treatment.

Julie has undergone 5 chemo treatments and will hopefully have her last in October 2014. She will then have a double mastectomy followed by a year of more chemo due to her rare case.  

Words truly can't describe how amazing of a woman Julie is. She lives her life for her family and is the definition of beauty. Her smile could turn anyone's frown upside down and her laugh could melt your heart in a second. She is the strength that keeps her family going and the love that keeps their faith alive.

Julie grew up in a little town called Ft.Bragg where she met the love of her life. Since then they've had four beautiful children whom she believes are her whole world, little does she know, she's their world as well. She's their rock,  shoulder to cry on and cheers'ing partner when we are ready to celebrate.  Her whole life all she has ever done is give and has NEVER asked for anything in return, so in return when life seems to be at her lowest we are trying to give our mother everything she deserves with the help, love and support from all of you!

She worked two jobs on top of being a full time mommy to two little boys who are only 8 and 10.  Let's help Julie WIN this battle and show her the support she so very much deserves!

This world is full of amazing people and were so glad we could share our mother's story with you. God bless!
