Cider Days Bus - Saturday, November 1, 2014
Transportation to and from CiderDays Apple Festival events on Saturday, November 1, 2014 (http://www.ciderdays.org/) in a luxury motorcoach (with bathroom).
Itinerary:
Saturday, November 1, 2014 (10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.)
10:00 a.m.: Leave Watertown, MA (311 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA 02472). Park in the garage, and look for the bus!
12:00 p.m.: Arrive at Shelburne Buckland Community Center in Shelburne Falls, MA. Activities include food vendors, apples, apple tastings, and crafts, such as: CiderDays Market Place (a variety of vendors, whose products range from ready to eat food (pizza, BBQ, apples, etc.) and packaged specialty food to farm products); Home Cidermakers Tasting Panel Discussion (including Ciders from the '13 Harvest, with sampling glasses available for purchase).
3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. (visit either the Cider Salon or Pine Hill Orchard):
o Cider Salon I (21+ ADULTS ONLY): The world's longest-running hard cider tasting with more than 65 individual cider brands from across North America and Europe. 90 minutes of hard cider. Requires additional $25 Cider Salon I ticket, which you can buy on the bus (even though they appear sold out on the website).
o Pine Hill Orchard (FAMILY FRIENDLY): Come enjoy the end of the apple season. They grow apples and peaches, plus pumpkins and squash, on 75 acres. They make their own cider and sell products from their orchard store and bakery. The cider press will be going as usual.
7:00 p.m.: Return to Watertown, MA (311 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA 02472). We'll be back in Watertown by 7 p.m.
IMPORTANT: If you plan to attend the Cider Salon (90 minutes of all-you-can-drink hard cider), tickets are available for anyone riding the bus (even though they appear sold out on the website)!
Any dollars above the break-even cost of the bus will be donated to charity.
Tickets are non-refundable.
