Trikurious? Join Revolution Rickshaws for an Open House
Join Revolution Rickshaws for a convivial evening at RR headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. We'll show you around the office, workshop, logistics center, and parking lot, introduce you to our fleet of work trikes, and answer your questions. Whether you're a business owner, event planner, marketer, filmmaker, researcher, reporter, investor or simply an inquisitive citizen we'd love to meet you and talk trike! You'll also have plenty of time to snack on hearty hors d'oeuvres, drink beer, and mingle with others who are also trikurious.
The program: 7:00-8:00pm: Mingling, snacking, test-driving, informal Q&A. 8:00-8:10pm: Short overview of RR's history, mission, and capabilities by RR founder and Managing Director Gregg Zuman. 8:10-8:20pm: Short summary of findings from the freshly released study "Freight-Tricycle Operations in New York City" by CCNY professor Dr. Alison Conway 8:20-9:00pm: More mingling, snacking, trike talk.
There is no charge to attend this event, and anyone who's trikurious is welcome. However, there are a limited number of spaces available and you must RSVP by Friday, September 26th.
ABOUT REVOLUTION RICKSHAWS: Based near Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan, Revolution Rickshaws is an active transport laboratory developing first-class last-mile logistics and marketing solutions. We work with clients on freight and passenger transport, sampling and promotions, special events, film shoots, and more. Established in 2005, RR has been civilizing New York City's streets for nearly a decade.
ABOUT GREGG ZUMAN: Gregg started Revolution Rickshaws with a fleet of fifteen top-quality Cycles Maximus work trikes in 2005, shortly after falling in love with driving a pedicab for profit in Manhattan. Once he'd built out RR's passenger services, he expanded into freight transport, and has since worked with dozens of enterprises, both locally and nationally, to establish city-optimized pedal-powered delivery and distribution programs. An evangelist for better living through craft transport in all its forms, he supported the Vermont Sail Freight Project's maiden voyage to NYC, and has recently developed a passion for draft horses. He still drives a pedicab.
ABOUT DR. ALISON CONWAY: Dr. Alison Conway is the Associate Director for New Initiatives at the University Transportation Research Center and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the City College of New York. As a graduate research assistant at the Center for Transportation Research at The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Conway contributed to numerous projects examining commercial truck operations and policy. She has published and presented her work on truck road pricing, size and weight impacts, security, and ITS technology applications. At CCNY, in addition to her research pursuits, Dr. Conway teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in transportation engineering and planning.
