Justice Now is hosting a free event in partnership with Sports Basement SF that will examine why so many activists engaged in anti-oppression work have such a high burnout rate.
We will discuss how the trauma experienced by the people we work with impacts our ability to do the work, and what we can do about it.
The event will provide a safe space where we will learn together how to care for ourselves in the anti-oppression business and give you the opportunity to try out a few new strategies including meditation, cycling, belly dancing and more!
Please invite everyone you know engaged in anti-oppression work. We are particularly interested in learning what self and collective-care practices you are part of, and how we can share resources and support to help Abolish Burnout!
