Presentation from Dr. Michael Harbut
Dr. Harbut will discuss the various epidemics which plagued the Zairean Refugee camps where he was Medical Director during the Rwandan Genocide. He will discuss the difference in the medical approaches to their treatment between various national groupings of physicians, some of the non-medical factors at work to promote or impede treatment of disease in the camp, and the dilemma encountered by treating persons en mass who may well have been and continue to be responsible for the murder of others and related matters. Dr. Harbut will also share photos.
