Student will investigate their own authentic movement, voice, and performance qualities while learning to work creatively in a group. Through the use of aerial apparatus, pole, and floor work, students will use their bodies to explore space, time, musicality, and emotionality. Students will be encouraged to luxuriate in the space of unrestricted expression while pushing themselves to truly harness the power of the creative process. Our goal is guide our students toward growth as artists, dancers, and women. To empower their lives through movement!
Our vision for our workshops is ever evolving as we learn and strive to create new and fresh experiences for our devoted students. While this workshop has all the basic elements of how we have come to run our successful classes, we will be acheiving the vision we have for the end result in a slightly different way. Putting more of a focus on personnaly directing slightly larger groupings of ladies, will help us keep our eyes on you! Making sure that you are challenged and successful. Like a coeur de ballet and ballet master, you will be directed by one of us and get to experience what it is like to be part of something greater than yourself! Because we know you have something great to contribute...
So now is the time to get really excited about being part of something that is altogether different and ambitious. We invite up to 20 lovely participants. We will be creating 3 different smaller group peices, each one directed by one of the core members of Cirque Noir. And additionally, a bonus 4th number, that the entire group will participate in- our signature ensemble repetoire peice, "Nothing Else Matters." If you wanna take your pole, aerial, or floor dancing to the next level, and have the chance to perform in an amazing 3000 square foot creative arena, then you need to do this workshop! All instruction and the performance will take place at Steel Heart Dance in South SF with Ana Hyatt, Deb Arana, & Alayna Stroud!
A Hollween inspired showcase [SiNnErS & sAiNts] -
