DIY Bouquet & A Bout Flower Class
When Martha introduced America to hand-tied bouquets, this design style became THE wedding bouquet style that has been on trend for over a decade. In this class you will learn the basic techniques used to arrange flowers together into clutch bouquets designed to drop into any vase. Make gift bouquets for friends or to provide lovely flowers in your home. You'll create a hand-tied clutch bouquet one of the same techniques used for brides' bouquets to put in an included vase. This is a great technique to learn what to do with those bunches you buy at the florist, farmers markets, and grocery stores. You will also learn how to make a basic boutonniere. This class is suitable for beginners.
Included in this class is a review of the supplies and tools used by professional florists and where to source flowers for your designs. We will also show you the basic mechanics of fresh floral design, color theory, and the care and handling techniques that will give the longest life to your floral arrangements. You will receive a tips sheet with a floral recipe included. You are welcome to take notes and take still pictures (no video recording, please).
Use of my supplies is included, along with fresh flowers and a vase/container. There will be books, tools, and accessories available to purchase for future projects if you desire. Payment for additional items at the class is by cash or credit card. Payment for classes is via website.
