ARTS FOR LIFE 15th Annual Best Performance Awards
ARTS FOR LIFE sponsors the 15th Annual Best Performance Awards for Community Musical Theatre Sunday June 8, at the Skip Viragh Center for the Arts on the campus of Chaminade College Preparatory School, beginning at 2 pm. From a pool of 1,050 community theater artists, 43 shows produced by 32 community theater groups in the Metro-St. Louis area have been reviewed for consideration for the Best Performance Awards this year. Trophies will be awarded in 31 categories, including previously announced special award winners Zach Erhardt from COCA Theatre Co. for Best Youth Music Performance, Lindsey Peters from O'Fallon TheatreWorks for Best Youth Featured Dancer, Keith Poppitz from Christ Memorial Productions for the LeeAnn Smith Cho Best Music Performance Award and Keith Boyer from Alpha Players of Florissant for the Founder's Recognition of Excellence Award.
The event will include performances from the 12 Musical Productions vying for Best Large, Small & Youth Production Awards. Formal attire is requested. Tickets to the event range from $20.00-$25.00. Due to high volume of ticket sales. Group seating is no longer available. The orchestra section is sold out but plenty of tickets remain in the mezzanine and balcony.
