BELINDA MCGUIRE (Dancer, Director, Choreographer), originally from Toronto, graduated from The Juilliard School (BFA 2006).  Through Belinda McGuire Dance Projects, she performs primarily solo work, choreographs and engages in collaboration and production. McGuire was nominated for the 2013 Dora Award for Outstanding Performance (The Heist Project), was an Artiste en Passant at The International Choreographic Arts Centre Amsterdam in 2010, a recipient of the 2008 Bessie Schönberg Residency at the Yard, and was recognized by the 2007 Susan Braun Award of The Dance Films Association. Her choreography has been presented at the Festival de la Ciudad 2009 (Merida, Yucatan Mexico), the Canada Dance Festival (Ottawa), in Toronto and in New York City on the stages of the Peter Jay Sharp Theater and Alice Tully Hall, Joyce Soho as well as in DUMBO, Brooklyn.  She has danced with The José Limón Dance Company, Gallim Dance, Doug Varone and Dancers, Ofelia Lorette de Mola's DANSCORES, the DOORKNOB Company and The Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre. She teaches and choreographs as a guest artist in New York City for The Limón Institute, The Juilliard School, and Dance New Amsterdam, for the New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble, CCDT in Toronto and for various other schools and universities across North America.  As a producer, Belinda launched her one-woman show The Desert Island Project in New York City and Toronto (autumn, 2008) and The Heist Project in NYC (December 2011) and in Toronto (March 2013).  



MADboots dance co. was co-founded in August 2011 by Jonathan Campbell (Juilliard '10) & Austin Diaz (N.Y.U. Tisch '11). The company made its premiere at the Gibney Dance Center, and has since been presented at festivals, such as, the Alto Jonio Dance Festival (Italy), Springboard Danse Montreal, David Parker's Soaking WET, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival Inside/Out Series, TOES for dance (Toronto) & DANCENOW Joe's Pub Dance Festival (2012 Challenge Winner). Dance Magazine featured the company in their Vital Signs segment in December 2013.

Aside from performing, Campbell & Diaz have also taught master classes at Broadway Dance Center (NYC), Dance New Amsterdam (NYC), Point Park University (Pittsburgh,PA) and Velocity Dance Center (Seattle,WA). MADboots has been generously granted the boo-koo round 4 space grant at Gibney Dance Center, the Inception to Exhibition 2012 Space Grant, and two residencies at the Duo Multicultural Arts Center. The 92nd Street Y presented MADboots as part of their inaugural Dig Dance:Weekend Series in December 2013, and Jacob's Pillow granted the company a Creative Development Residency in February 2014. MADboots is currently creating a new work to premiere in May 2014 at the Duo Multicultural Arts Center for their second NYC season.
