Olivia De La Cruz Bio:

Olivia De La Cruz was born and raised in Lake Chelan, WA, and has been singing since she was 5 years old. Olivia's mom would take Olivia to her clients to sing to them, prompting one client to buy her first guitar at age 12. Her first song was written at 18, at which point she knew right away that she meant to write and perform music. This discovery inspired her to move to Seattle in 2008, where she befriended many local musicians who helped shape who she is today. Since then, she has taken extended trips to write music and perform in Sayulita, Mexico, Bali, and Thailand,  which resulted in the writing of "Old Fire" which is on her new album, "Olivia De La Cruz".

Olivia talks about what music means to her: "Growing up, I didn't have a way to express myself to vent. Music changed everything for me. Like the weight of the world had been lifted. That is why I write music. Instead of bottling pain or love up inside, I vent it out exactly how I feel it and experience it."

Olivia's music is described as a mixture of Lyrical, Soul, Americana, and Rock and is most often compared to Norah Jones and Regina Spektor. She has played with many local and national musicians, such as Andrew Bell, Vicci Martinez, Andrew Vait, Luc and the Lovingtons, Everyone Orchestra; just to name a few.

Olivia's CD Release on June 26th, 2013 at Wine Tea, Chocolate in Fremont will begin her West Coast tour with Seattle musician, Fysah. The entire tour will be filmed to make a documentary about a grassroots tour, showing what it is like from a female singer songwriters point of view being on the road and making it happen through music.
