SUSPECTS IN AMERICA by Willie Holmes, Jr. is a satirical court room drama that takes place in the mythical United States Court of Racial Seclusion. Comedy, drama, Shakespeare, and rap blend together in a fantasy where guilt is determined by public opinion. The show examines topics of racial prejudice, police brutality, black love and its treatment of urban Black America. The audience witnesses a number of disturbing facts and statistics about the American black male both in the present and near future. Thought provoking and poetic, SUSPECTS packs a powerful message on the importance of hope and self-determination.
