EXTRAORDINARY MYSTERIES - B8 New Works Series
Please join us this summer for our New Works Staged Reading Series. Every weekend from July 14 through August 13, B8 will celebrate local playwrights and their works via staged readings. This is a great opportunity to be one of the first to hear and respond to a new work and perhaps even have a say in what might become part of a future B8 season.
EXTRAORDINARY MYSTERIES began as a series of visual collages. The collages were far too static, and the playwright was compelled to translate them into a play, to make them physical, animate, and alive. The play is an existential romp through time, space, and chaos, among a gathering of bewildered and wandering souls, most of whom don't have the slightest sense of where they are, where they are going, or where they have been. EXTRAORDINARY MYSTERIES has had readings of previous versions at the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, and at Diversionary Theatre in San Diego.
