Musical Improv Workshop
Have you ever wanted to try musical improv? Do you think it looks like fun? Or does it scare the bejeezus out of you? Either way, this workshop is for you! Very important: no musical skill, knowledge, or experience is needed. If you already know how to sing or have experience singing, thats great. If youve never sung anything except joining ABBA on Dancing Queen while alone in the car, thats great too!
In this very supportive workshop, experienced musical improvisers Ken Bryan and Avi Lasser will teach you to improvise a song, from audience suggestions, from scratch, while you are singing it! Its amazing and just about the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Well introduce song structures; teach you how to improvises verses, bridges, and choruses; and help you work together with others to make musical improv magic.
Sunday, May 7th, from 10am to 4pm at Theater Puget Sound, Studio D, in Seattle Center.
