CityDance Audition
This audition was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 8, but has been RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, APRIL 21.
Spend six dynamic weeks studying with directors and artists from Dance Theatre of Harlem, Koresh Dance Company, Dance ICONS, and with CityDance master Vaganova teachers Stanislav Issaev and Ludmila Morkovina and award-winning contemporary choreographers including CityDance's Choreographer-in-Residence Robert J. Priore. For our younger dancers, we offer four weeks of "Dance Up" programming, with a focus on technical training to push dancers forward before launching into the 2017-2018 season.
Intensives are ideal for dancers, ages 9-19, interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, contemporary, jazz, and African. Other activities may include masterclasses with guest artists, choreography workshops, and participation in culminating performances. Dance Up is for dancers ages 10-14 interested in focusing on refining their technical skills in ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop.
Led by Artistic Director Lorraine Spiegler, CityDance prepares young dancers for 21st century careers with specialized training, rich performance opportunities, and strong connections to the professional dance world.
We do allow for walkups, but online registration is encouraged and will make the audition process more seamless.
Please audition with your age group as of the day of the audition.

DRESS CODE
Please bring a printed headshot and a full body shot. These do not need to be professionally-done photos. Photos taken on phones are more than welcome!
Female: leotard, pink or skin-tone ballet tights, pink or skin-tone ballet shoes with elastic straps, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet for contemporary
Male: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, men's tights, black, white, or skin-tone ballet shoes

PARKING
At our Strathmore location, there is parking available in the Grosvenor/Strathmore Metro parking garage. It costs $5.10 (payable by credit card or SmarTrip card) to exit the Metro garage. Additional parking is available at the meters along Tuckerman Ln. The meters require payment until 7:00pm. No parking is allowed in the Strathmore mansion lot and towing is enforced.
