AN EVENING with ADAM & EVE featuring BRUCE FEILER
Meet Me Saint Louis, in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council, and the Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis, presents a unique discussion on the invention of love, and Adam & Eve, featuring NY Times columnist and best-selling author Bruce Feiler, with an interfaith discussion panel. Doors open for seating at 6:30pm. Program begins at 7:00pm. Feiler, author of the newly published book THE FIRST LOVE STORY: Adam, Eve, and Us, offers a completely original, re-imagining of history's most famous couple. In the inimitable style that won him fans with Walking the Bible and Abraham - The Father of Three Faiths, Feiler travels from the Garden of Eden in Iraq to the Sistine Chapel in Rome, from John Milton's London to Mae West's Hollywood, to tell the inspiring often surprising story of how Adam and Eve invented love and what they can teach us about our relationships today. For centuries Adam and Eve have been blamed for introducing sin, shame, and death into our lives; yet they also demonstrated togetherness and resilience. With humor, insight, and wisdom, THE FIRST LOVE STORY is an unforgettable journey that reminds us our most familiar stories still have the ability to inspire us toward unity, compassion, and love.
Joining Feiler for the panel discussion will be: Dr. Bahar Bastani, Member, Interfaith Partnership Board of Directors and Cabinet Dr. James Croft, Outreach Director, Ethical Society of St. Louis Rabbi Amy Feder, Senior Rabbi, Congregation Temple Israel Reverend Seán Charles Martin, President, Aquinas Institute of Theology
