Out on a Limb is Olympia's new, annual venue for experimental dance. For our 2nd year, Out on a Limb features acclaimed and new choreographers pushing the edge of dance and performance. Ten choreographers creating new works have been chosen to launch this show on Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8, 2017, at Olympia Family Theater, 612 4th Ave, Olympia.

Meg Hunt
Michael Hoover
Patricia Mintross
Roel Hammerschlag

This diverse group of Olympia, Tacoma and Seattle performers will be incorporating contact improvisation, concepts around the amount of time spent waiting, a lobby installation, a dance sharing the lifetime of intimacy, the study of abuse, dysfunction and healing, a scene from the play Metamorphosis, modern interpretation of butoh, contrasts in movement, and dance to spoken word. This program will be performed two nights.

Curated by members of RADCO, the Random Acts of Dance Collective and co-sponsored by Company-Y and Motion in Balance Studio. Tickets are $20 and advance sales are recommended due to the limited seating in this small intimate venue.
