SYLVIA presented by 90 Miles Theatre Company Inc.
SYLVIA is a play by A. R. Gurney. THE STORY: A modern romantic comedy about a marriage and a dog. Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan after twenty-two years of child-raising in the suburbs. It premiered in 1995 Off-Broadway. The subject is "Sylvia", a dog, the couple who adopts her, and the comedy that results. NOTE: This play includes strong subject matter and language that is not suitable for young children.
Featuring performances by local actors: Olivia Benedict as Sylvia, Ben Abrams as Greg, Sunny Edelman as Kate, Lisa Danner as Tomi the Park friend, Eve Waltermaurer as Phyllis the College friend, Dushka Ramic as Leslie the Marriage Counselor
Tickets: $22.50 for Adults, $17.50 for Seniors and Students (These prices include contributions to the animal rescues our organization is supporting with this play.)
Dates: THURSDAY, May 11 at 8:00pm, FRIDAY, May 12 at 8:00pm, SATURDAY, May 13 at 2:30pm and 8:00pm SUNDAY, May 14 at 2:30pm (Mother's Day Surprise) Location: THE SOCIAL HALL at the Reformed Church of New Paltz 92 Hugenot Street, New Paltz, NY This debut production for our new theatre company, will contribute funds to local animal rescues in the Hudson Valley. Some of these rescues will be on site during the performance dates.
