This night is to be a celebration of the talents of our local Elementary students featuring the FROG Project. Friday night will also include, local adult musicians. We invite you to register for the Amateur Night to showcase your talent. The registration deadline is February 8, 2017.
The FROG Project is a dynamic collective consisting of keyboardist Kevin Kolb, flutist/saxophonist Teddy Burgh, percussionist Troy Pierce, and bassist Ryan Woodall. All currently reside in Wilmington, NC and intermittently crossed paths in various venues of the city's music scene. In late 2009, through the brainstorm and probing of Kevin Kolb, the four came together in his FROG (Finished Room Over Garage) and began to create. The chemistry was immediate, and the FROG Project was born.
With influences from numerous musical genres, the group performs original compositions and fresh innovative arrangements of familiar items.
Our goal is to provide live jazz events to raise funds for student scholarships and support community service projects, as well as to increase student knowledge and interest in this amazing musical art form.
