An Evening with Jim Craig and Friends

They're folk music's newest tradition: Jim Craig & Friends, six of the coolest folk performers to sing a note and pluck a string. And to our credit, they're exclusively a Hogeye phenomenon.
As expected, Jim Craig promises some surprises along with more of the usual suspects. Prepare to be treated to the next-best thing to a folk music tent show...without that drafty tent.
Fred Campeau and Mitch Thomas have been a team since the early 70's, when they met while both were performing around Chicago. A former Volo Bogtrotter and expatriate of other bands, Fred plays guitar, banjo, fiddle and harmonica. Mitch teaches choir and theater and is a 2-time winner of the Wheatland Festival Folksinging Contest.
Dave Prine and Tyler Wilson remembered as The National Recovery Act from the 1970's and '80'sreturn to the stage to remind us where American folk music originated: in their basement. They'll treat us once again to traditional musical stylings and good-natured banter.
Songster Jim and songstress/wife Vivian Craig are still singin' strong after nearly 40 years together, and still preserving the landmark status of their Hogeye Music Store in Evanston. Jim's mellow guitar and vocal stylings are rich and pure, and Vivian's appearances have endeared her to all. And then there are the surprises...aaah, yes, the surprises. I wish we could tell you! (Heck, I wish someone would tell us!)
