South Sound Women's Boating Seminar
Welcome to the 8th Annual Women's Boating Seminar.
This year's theme - "Chart Your Own Course" - focuses on presentations and hands-on demonstrations so the novice can build a solid foundation, while more experienced boaters strengthen essential skills. The seminar promises not only critical information and techniques to feel safe and confident on the water, but also chances to win great prizes*, network with other women boaters, enjoy a sumptuous lunch and a good laugh with each other. Parking is free on the street or in the Diamond lot just south of the Yacht Club. Please remember that Yacht Club Parking is for Yacht club members only.

Registration is $45 by April 30th; $50 after April 30th, and includes lunch and morning coffee plus goodies.

Docking Your Own Boat w/ Capt. Ace Spragg - $50 Ace Spragg will meet you and your crew at Percival Public Dock, in downtown Olympia, for an intensive 75-minute session on your own boat, practicing docking in real life. Sign up for one of the sessions at 9:30, 11:00, 1:00, 2:30, or 4:00.
Anchoring Your Own Boat w/ Capt. Mary Campbell - $50 Mary will meet you and your crew at Percival Public Dock, in downtown Olympia, for an intensive 90-minute session on your own boat, practicing anchoring in real life. Sign up for one of the sessions at 10:00, 12:00, 2:00, or 4:00.
Introduction to Sailing w/ Capt. Mary Fitzgerald - $55 Bring your bag lunch and your windbreaker. This is truly an introduction to basic sailing skills. We'll begin the day with a short classroom talk to familiarize students with sailing terms and basic information. Then we'll go out on a keelboat to practice sailing for a few hours. You'll get a chance to act as crew and helmswoman, learning the basics of raising and trimming sails as you glide across Budd Inlet. 9:00-3:00 Limit 12 participants
