Love at First Sight
Make your Valentine's one to remember with a night full of laughs at the Ooley Theatre. A special show for the lovers, featuring standup comedy from comics seen on Comedy Central, HBO and hanging out at bus stops nationwide.
Sacramento Native Carlos brings a clever, silly and approachable voice to comedy. His observational humor touches beyond common daily occurrences to deep-rooted memories of his childhood, view on the simplest ideas, and the most offbeat subject matter. Carlos was voted 2013 best comic in Sacramento, he has won 2012 CSA Comedy competition, has been a finalist in SF Tommy Ts $20,000 competition, also performed in the 2014 SF Sketchfest and hand-picked to represent the San Jose Improv in the 2013 Up Next Comedy Central comic search . He is a regular at numerous comedy clubs, headlined Military bases, along with international Stages on 4 different continents (Europe, China, japan, and Australia)
Featuring Emily Van Dyke, a 32 year old who's still on her moms cell phone plan. Originally from North Central Indiana, she has struggled to overcome a monotone voice and the death of her late cat "Patches" to become a comic who has an apartment in San Francisco with a washer/dryer inside of it. Emily hosts the comedy dating show "Flirting with Laughter," she was the winner of the 2013 Walk the Plank Comedy Competition and she performs in clubs and basements all the time.
With, Jason Anderson, who is most well known for not getting his grandmother to stop talking about that one time he was on WeTVs Bridezillas in 2008. His attempts to gain any other notoriety, whatsoever, led him to standup comedy, and a journey to San Francisco for a 2015 appearance on HBOs Silicon Valley. Upon hearing this news, his grandmother was quoted as saying, What Valley? Jason Anderson has also appeared on ABC10 and Good Day Sacramento, was JackFMs Comic of the Month, and is the host of Wildcard, a monthly standup showcase at the Sacramento Comedy Spot. His grandmother wishes he would appear on WeTV more often.
