What a Joke National Comedy Festival: Knoxville
29 cities across the nation are uniting to host a weekend of simultaneous stand-up comedy shows as part of the first ever WHAT A JOKE National Comedy Festival and to raise funds for the American Civil Liberties Union. Knoxville, Tennessee, is hosting a two-day festival on Thursday, January 19, and Friday, January 20 at selected venues across the city.
Stand-up comedians from across the Southeast are gathering in Knoxville for multiple shows during this two-day festival.
Festival shows will take place at the following venues:
Thursday, January 19 - The Old City/Downtown Pilot Light, 106 E. Jackson Ave., Knoxville, TN 37915
Friday, January 20 - North Knoxville/Happy Holler The Central Collective, 923 N. Central St., Knoxville, TN 37917 Holly's Corner, 842 N. Central St., Knoxville, TN 37917 Ironwood Studios, 119 Jennings Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917 Modern Studio, 109 W. Anderson St., Knoxville, TN 37917
The festival will feature some of the best rising stars of comedy from Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina. A full list of performers and venues will be posted on the festival's main website at whatajokefest.com and on the local website whatajokeknox.com.
Tickets are available for single day (Thursday or Friday) or as weekend passes for both nights.
Attendance is 18+ at most venues.
Pilot Light is a cash only bar. Central Collective is a BYOB establishment. Modern Studio is a BYOB establishment.
