Dream Plaza
"Dream Plaza" is a participatory walk through the area surrounding Brooklyn's Borough Hall. Olsen will guide participants in slowing down their perceptions of the space through movement, visualization practices, and attuning to the architecture. Participants will move into a waking twilight dream as we drift between the plaza, sidewalks, state structures, and empty offices. What functions and feelings does this place hold in relation to the structures of violence that are radiating through the country?
This walk holds 12 people.
Duration: one hour.
Geoffrey Olsen is a poet and novelist living in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. He is the author of two chapbooks: End Notebook (Petrichord Books) and Not of Distends * Address Panicked (Minutes Books). He is a student in the Pratt MFA in Writing program.
