Beyond the 4 "worship chords"
Beyond the 4 worship chords -
How many worship choruses contain some version of C(add 9), G, D, Em7 - or E - B- C#m7 - A? Without changing the underlying harmony with advanced and complicated substitutions, how can we add some more variety and interest to the same old chord progressions.
We will learn 3 different techniques that can quickly be adopted by intermediate guitarists.
1. Better voice leading using new inversions 2. Extended the chords into more interesting voicings 3. "Blackbird" voicings taking advantage of different ranges of the guitar
Prerequisites - little theory will be required. You must have a working knowledge of guitar and music in which are you are able to competently perform with other musicians.
Tickets will be $5.00 in advance but $10.00 at the door.
