Romantasy Cabarets Darkly Decadent to thrill with intimate, wicked delights
Prepare to be spellbound with an intimate night of haunting and decadent cabaret brought to you by Phoenix's naughty lil vaudeville, Romantasy Cabaret. Their annual production, Darkly Decadent, takes place October 22, just in time to kick off the Halloween festivities. The affair takes place at Pranksters Too in Scottsdale.
Every Romantasy Cabaret show combines dazzling dance ensembles, vibrant cabaret acts, vaudeville and slapstick vignettes and titillating burlesque numbers. Darkly Decadent adds in a dash of the macabre, a dose of the bewitching and a healthy batch of debauchery in celebration of the Halloween season. From the time guests arrive they will be greeted with ambient entertainment in the courtyard where stilt walkers, fire performers and aerialists cast magical spells while showgoers wait for the main event.
Every seat is a good seat at Pranksters Too in Scottsdale, from the up close and personal VIP section to the first-come, first-seated General Seating section. There's not a bad seat in the house! Additionally, the venue offers a full food menu and a full bar with drink and dinner specials offered the evening of the show. Romantasy Cabaret urges advance purchase of tickets as seats do sell out for these productions. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 p.m. to be seated before the show begins out of respect for the performers on stage and the patrons enjoying the show.
The decadence of the evening isnt limited to the cast alone. Fans are encouraged to participate in the experience by dressing up in frivolous frocks and masks, ghoulish garb, or sinful attire. In fact, some show numbers are audience-interactive and include willing audience participants, so attendees should look their best when attending this soirée. Additionally, the cast comes out post-show for meet and greet photo opportunities during the after party fete.

Romantasy Cabaret productions are part low-brow comedy, part risqué burlesque and part dazzling cabaret. The production company has earned itself numerous awards since inception in 2007 and was once lauded as a veritable buffet of naughty pleasures by Arizona Reporter. This bawdy and beautiful show has received such awards as Phoenix New Times Best of Phoenix for Best Vaudeville Entertainment 2009, runner up for Best Local Performing Art Troupe by East Valley Tribune in 2011, and Best Performance Troupe by the City of Tempe for 2012 and 2014. VaVaVoom, the showgirls of Romantasy Cabaret, won 2nd place for Best Performance, Group/Duo Category at the Albuquerque Burlesque and Sideshow Spectacular in 2012 as well as Best Group at Arizona Burlesque Festival in 2015.
Studio VaVaVoom, the learning hub for many of the cast members of the shows won Phoenix Magazines Best of the Valley 2016 for Best Place for Burlesque Classes. The performance collective, VaVaVoom will again compete in the 3rd annual Arizona Burlesque Festival in the category of Best Group, 2016.
