Fall Fundraiser @ Hubbard Inn

HOSTED BY THE COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE OF THE WOMEN'S BAR ASSOCIATION OF ILLINOIS

The Women's Treatment Center (TWTC) is located just outside The Loop in Chicago, on the corner of Ashland and Lake. TWTC supports women battling drug and alcohol addiction and their young kids and babies along the way. TWTC is unique in that it allows women to get treatment (inpatient/medical detox, residential treatment, and outpatient treatment) and not have to find someone else to take care of their kids during the process. TWTC also provides parenting and family classes to help mend the bonds between mothers and children, thus giving kids a greater chance at success.

With Andie Kramer's help, Bethany Whittles Harris started this fundraiser in 2014 because these ladies and kids can use some extra support and people on their team. Last year, the money we raised (close to $10k) went in part to buy a new reading nook fully stocked with books for the kids and comfortable children's furniture. To have an area that was brand new, just for them, and focused on learning and reading meant our 2015 event was a huge success! We aim to exceed our fundraising efforts from last year.

This year's event will once again feature fantastic raffle prizes, an open bar, plenty of appetizers and a lot of fun. We look forward to seeing you!
