UNDERSTANDING POVERTY
Back by popular demand...
There were a number of folks who wanted to attend the 4 week version of Marianne Chernesky's lab during our Summer Theology but for one reason or another were unable. So...she has graciously agreed to lead a one night version geared toward those in the medical professions, though all are welcome and will benefit.
During this Lab Marianne will help us explore a working definition of poverty, the hidden rules of socioeconomic class and key features of generational poverty. We also will be focusing on the importance of relationships in helping to create bridges out of poverty.
Marianne was born in Nigeria and raised in Dallas. For the last 9 years she has worked as a physician with Crossroad Health Center in Over-the-Rhine (a nonprofit community health center providing high quality primary health care services to children and adults in Greater Cincinnati).
A pizza dinner will be provided.
Please register via Brown Paper Tickets. Registration is FREE for medical students & residents. Don't let money be an issue. Please join us.
Childcare will be available for up to 10 children, first come, first served. Note childcare needs on The City, name and age of child(ren).
