Event
Raffles for Robbie
The sisters of the Zeta Kappa chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma at Montclair State University will be holding their second annual tricky tray event on November 12th, 2016. All of the proceeds made from our event will go directly towards our philanthropy the Robbie Page Memorial Foundation and the March of Dimes. In early years the Robbie Page Memorial Foundation served to support various polio research projects. After the cure for Polio was discovered, it began supporting and funding child play therapy in children hospitals. Play therapy not only gives chronically ill children the opportunity to play in a hospital but it also teaches them to accept and cope with their diseases and treatments. Therapeutic play also helps to decrease stress and anxiety as well as help the child developmentally. The March of Dimes which also started in the support of the disease polio, is now dedicated to supporting the discovery of the genetic causes of birth defects, promoting newborn screening and educating medical professionals and the public about the practices for a healthy pregnancy. With the help from you and the Zeta Kappa chapter at Montclair State University we can bring children and families the happiness and support that they deserve.
