GermanFest
The Friends of the Hermitage, Inc. will host a GermanFest Vintage Auto Show on thegrounds of The Hermitage Museum, on Sunday, September 25 from 10 am to 4 pm. The rain date is Sunday,October 2nd.
Area automobile enthusiasts can view a variety of vintage German-engineered automobilesincluding BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen. German beer, food and refreshments will beavailable for sale. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children 6-12 years of age. Children 5 and under arefree.
Come join us for great food and drink, live German music and a spectacular day at The Hermitage.Bring a blanket or a chair and picnic the day away on our beautiful property.

The Hermitage, a National Historic Landmark, is one of the nations outstanding examples of romantic GothicRevival in American domestic architecture. The historic house incorporates a stone structure that wasvisitedduring the Revolutionary War by George Washington and was the site where Aaron Burr met and marriedTheodosia Prevost. The houses architectural appearance dates to the 1847 remodeling and enlargementdesigned by the architect William H. Ranlett. Today, the historic houses furnishings reflect the late Victorianlifestyle of the Rosencrantz family. The Friends of the Hermitage, Inc., a nonprofit membership organization, manages The Hermitage, a NewJersey State Park. The Friends offer tours of the historic house, exhibitions based on the collections, anddiverse educational programming. The Friends received a General Operating Support Grant from the NewJersey Historical Commission, a division of cultural affairs in the Department of State.
