Grounding and Flying: a Movement and Expressive Arts Workshop
Movement play and story-telling reign in this workshop exploring the weight and sensations of moving with a manta/blanket* in contractions, extensions, and gross locomotors. Participants will be introduced to the Tamalpa Life/Art Process, a movement-based expressive arts approach that integrates movement & dance, drawing, performance techniques and therapeutic practices. In a safe and supportive environment, we will explore, score, and have the opportunity to perform for each other with our mantas. What is the story that you delve into when you move with your manta?
Open to dancers and performers from all backgrounds and levels of experience.
*Special note: some mantas/blankets will be provided for participant use, but you are welcome to bring your own. led by: Amelia Uzategui Bonilla
