I'm Tired of Your Bad Improv w/ Stephen Carter (Boot Camp)
I'M TIRED OF YOUR BAD IMPROV SOLD OUT.
Malcolm Gladwell famously said that it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill. Here's your chance to become 11 hours closer to being a longform improv master!
I'm Tired of Your Bad Improv is a 2 day improv boot camp that will open your eyes to so many ideas, formats, exercises, techniques and philosophies that you'll want to throw up. This boot camp is perfect for beginners who want to leap ahead and grizzled veterans who want to challenge themselves.
In this boot camp, you will: Perform for your friends and family in a showcase Get to know your fellow improvisers Get in as many reps as humanly possible Tackle your personal challenges: break through slumps, and get out of your head Be on the same page as your teammates Understand advanced ideas, formats, exercises, techniques and philosophies Become Stephen Carter's best friend
Saturday, August 6th: 10 am-1 pm - Rehearsal 1 pm-2 pm - Lunch 2 pm-5 pm - Rehearsal
Sunday, August 7th: 2 pm-5 pm - Rehearsal 5 pm-7 pm - Dinner 7 pm-9 pm - Performance
Stephen is cramming over a month's worth of lessons and practices into 2 days. It's going to be long. We're going to hate each another. But god dammit, we're going to come out of this boot camp as best friends and awesome improvisers!
Stephen has done his fair share of bad improv over the past 14 years. Newly returned to Seattle after a 9 year hiatus helping politicians lie in DC, he has a comedy background that includes teaching, coaching and performing long form improv. He's thrilled to be teaching this boot camp to meet new people and to combat his chronic, paralyzing fear no one will like him.
I'm Tired of Your Bad Improv is produced (with love) by Ethan Smith and Stephen Carter.
