Culturally Relevant Teaching Strategies for 21st Century Students
This is an interactive workshop with Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, award winning author, journalist, CNN political contributor, and distinguished professor at Morehouse College. Participants will gain an understanding of critical issues students are facing today, while learning about effective teaching strategies for students of all backgrounds. Individuals will also have an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Dr. Hill's most recently published book, The Classroom and the Cell: Conversations of Black Life in America. Seating is limited for this special Education Talk Series being brought to you by Educating for Freedom in Schools, a youth development organization that prides itself on providing accessible, culturally relevant programming for Kalamazoo County youth and families.
