American Idiot

TASU Theatre Co. presents American Idiot, the hit musical based on Green Day's album of the same name. Johnny, Tunny and Will struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. When the three disgruntled men flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged when Tunny enters the armed forces, Will is called back home to attend familial responsibilities, and Johnny's attention becomes divided by a seductive love interest and a hazardous new friendship.

About TASU:
Try And Stop Us Theatre Company (TASU) was founded in 2013 when Southwest High School students were denied permission to perform Spring Awakening at their high school and took matters into their own hands. They found a new venue and did the show independently, under the name of Try and Stop Us Theatre Company. Since then, TASU has been providing opportunities for high school students to perform meaningful, challenging work in a collaborative setting. The shows are staffed entirely by youth, giving teens unique leadership experiences and teaching them vital organization and communication skills.
