Meadowlark Apericena: A Sicilian Springtime Cocktail Party

We can hardly believe it, but the Meadowlark supper club is about to turn two years old. To mark the occasion, we are hosting a festive apericena on Friday, June 10th at Tournant. This Italian version of happy hour (the name comes from the Italian words for cocktail + dinner) combines drinks with local and seasonal hors d'oeuvres.

In homage to our very first dinner, we are taking inspiration from the flavors and dishes of Sicily. We'll be serving up a variety of treats you are unlikely to find anywhere else in Portland, including ravioli with ricotta and fava beans, authentic Sicilian pizza, and polpettine al limone (meatballs with lemon and bay). For dessert we'll have strawberry-tarragon ice cream sandwiches served in true Sicilian fashion, on buttery brioche buns. There will be a number of vegetarian options available.

To drink, we'll have two specialty cocktails (including one with our housemade limoncello), wine, and beer. Each $40 ticket includes unlimited hors d'oeuvres plus your choice of one drink. Additional drinks will be available for purchase.
