Intro to Native Plants and their Medicine
Discovery Park is the best place in Seattle to witness a wide range of plant species, as it has so many different ecosystems. During this three hour class, we will learn the most common plants of Pacific Northwest forests, any edible or medicinal uses and play a few games to help it all sink in. Natalie will also demonstrate some basic "wildcrafting" skills, such as selecting branches and peeling bark.
Date and Time: Saturday, June 18th, 2016, 2:00-5:00pm
Class Fee: $30
Tickets Available: Link to be posted.
NOTE: Specific directions to the South Parking Lot will be shared upon purchase of tickets.
TEACHER: Natalie is an herbalist and plant lover who teaches plant ID and herbal medicine workshops in the Seattle Area. It brings her joy to empower people to know the plants around them. Natalie also has a small clinical practice where she practices holistic Western herbalism.
