Understanding Art: Muse, Creativity and Inspiration
Join us on May 25, from 7:30-8:30pm, for the final installment of our May lecture series, Understanding Art.
In this installment, "Muse: Creativity and Inspiration," Eileen Weitzman, a conceptual and sculptural artist whose work is both fanciful and politically incisive, discusses how the artist consumes the same information as the rest of us and then uses that information to create expressive and engaging artwork.
Understanding Art is a weekly series designed to give novice collectors and art lovers a better understanding of the history and process of creating contemporary fine art. Each week will feature a different topic and guest presenter. This program will run each Wednesday evening in May (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th), from 7:30-8:30pm and is limited to 15 people. Tickets are $10 per person per session. Wine and bottled water will be provided.

May 4: "A 45-Minute History of Contemporary Art" (Anthony Philip, Dir.-Anthony Philip Fine Art): This presentation offers a concise and entertaining overview of the figures, movements, and cultural aspects of fine art in the 20th and 21st century.
