Joani Geltman: parenting expert
Calling all Parents, Grandparents, Teachers, Mentors and others who have tweens and teens in their lives.
If you spend time in the challenging world of adolescents, and want to know how to survive these years, you will be pleased to hear that First Parish Church of Stow & Acton is sponsoring a presentation on Saturday, May 7th, 6:30 9:00 pm featuring Joani Geltman, a prominent parenting expert and author of the best selling book, A Survival Guide To Parenting Teens.
Ms. Geltman will present an evening of useful, 'been there' information that helps everyone take away strategies for dealing with tweens and teens. Joani's presentation will cover a broad range of issues parents face with a focus on teen anxiety and stress in today's culture. Adults will learn what teens are feeling and thinking, and what developmental factors are involved. She will guide you to approach problems in a way that lets your teen know you get it. Joani addresses the challenge of parenting teens with a mix of information, advice, empathy and humor.
-Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased in advance at brownpapertickets.com or at the door.
-Coffee and desserts will be served during the first half hour.
