Edina Garden Council's Biennial Garden Tour
The 2016 Garden Tour celebrates Six varied gardens and Arneson Acres Park, an Edina City Park. Some of these gardens have been featured in the Star-Tribune. Here are some highlights: a garden with two chickens who meander a yard of flowers, vegetables and fruit trees; a large rain garden with an interesting history; a garden that features native plants; a garden that features "weeping varities" of both deciduous and evergreen trees and a charming garden shed; a garden that grew from a family's love of Iris and now includes a hosta garden, knot garden, rain garden and a labyrinth; and finally, a garden that intentionally has no right angles but features plant vignettes to provide color throughout the seasons. We hope that you will not only enjoy the individuality of these gardens but will "look at your [;;;own];;; yard differently".
When we look at that piece of land on which our house sits, ask "what do I see"? Is there a spot I can make 'my own'?
Please begin your tour at Arneson Acres where you will find 28 formal and informal gardens. Proceeds from this tour go to Horticultural Scholarships and Community projects sponsored by the Garden Clubs.
